Unboxing Laurie's June Design Team Kit

Hey It's Laurie Again!

Have you been wishing for more scrapbook embellishments that give you space for journaling? How about embellishments that frame your photos or are super cute cut-aparts? Are you wishing for a manufacturer to release a cohesive scrapbook embellishment collection that is very versatile, meaning it can be used in a variety of ways and will go with so many scrapbook elements you already own?

Your wishes are coming true, cheeky people! Cheeky Studio is heading in a new direction, releasing a more cohesive overall collection each month. And this month, I get to unbox the brand new WISHES collection in my June design team kit!

I'm excited for this collection for a number of reasons. Those cut-aparts (which are digital downloads) are going to be SO great for adding easy journaling spots to scrapbook layouts, creating birthday or other cards, and even making cute gift tags. I also REALLY like the font in this collection.

Then there are the awesome 2x2 squares that would be cool for creating a grid background on a scrapbook layout or, again, using to make a card. The collection also includes flair, a sequins mix, purple gingham bows, and two different ephemera packs.

One ephemera pack is what you have come to know and expect from Cheeky Studio. It's filled with wonderful pieces of cute little animals, balloons, florals, and more! But the other one has frames for your pictures, more journaling spots, and other more basic pieces.

Even though this seems like it is birthday themed, this is a pretty versatile collection, and I think it has applications to a lot of other themes. That's definitely one of the great things about all Cheeky Studio products.

Of course, you can purchase the Wishes collection as a whole, but you can also purchase the individual pieces separately if you only want one or two parts of the collection. But why wouldn't you want EVERYTHING?

Have a cheeky day!

Water Baby
Hi, guys, it's Laurie, and I'm back again with another layout using products from my May Cheeky Studio design team kit. I really wanted to use the Midnight Florals collection, but I had just the perfect pictures and coordinating papers to go with the Flamingo Fun products, so that's what I ended up using for this layout.

Flamingo Fun is a tropical-themed and summery collection with pineapples, watermelons, flamingos, and bright colors. I love the mixture of pieces in the ephemera pack and how those same designs can be found on the flair pieces.

The sequins are also a nice complement to the rest of the collection with a mixture of pinks and greens. As you can see, I created a few embellishment clusters, and then sprinkled some of the sequins throughout.

I also received a Shimmerz Vibez spray in Pop Art Pink, and I did a little bit of splatter on the page. I think even on the yellow paper it still comes out pretty shimmery and pink-y.

The design of this layout is based on a PageMaps sketch that I had pinned on Pinterest, so this ended up being a super simple layout using the sketch and elements that were already in my stash, and the Flamingo Fun embellishments really elevated what I already had.

Thanks for looking and have a cheeky day!

Happy as a Lark
Hi everyone, it's Laurie, and I'm so happy to share with you my first Cheeky Studio scrapbook layout for the month of May! This is a combination of some of the products that came in my May design team kit, plus a few older Cheeky Studio products. Yes, those pandas made another appearance. They are just so cute and I have so many panda pictures to scrap!

This is actually my take on the May sketch challenge. Don't forget to play along in the Cheeky Studio Facebook group or by using #getcheeky and #cheekystudio when sharing your layout on social media for your chance to win a prize this month!

First up is the "Happy as a Lark" wood veneer. You're probably thinking that it looks green in this photo, and that's because I used some embossing powder to give it a sparkly green texture. I thought that would work better with the color scheme of the layout.

I also combined some of the pandas and butterflies from the Panda-monium collection with some of the flowers and that adorable banner from the Flamingo Fun collection. I thought the pinks in both collections worked pretty well together.

The sequins are from the Flamingo Fun sequins mix, which is a nice mix of pinks and greens and some really cool translucent sequins! I scattered them around the page and used them as accents in the center of my yellow Flamingo Fun ephemera flowers.

A little bit of green misting spray splatter from my stash, and we're good to go!

Have a cheeky day!

Laurie
