2 Cute with the Furry Friends Collection
Hi everyone, it's Laurie! Earlier this month my daughter turned 2 and the theme of the party was dogs! So when I saw the Cheeky Studio Furry Friends collection featuring dogs, I just knew it was going to be perfect to scrap the photos from her birthday!
For this layout, which is a scraplift of a layout by Tiffany Hood, I used a variety of patterned paper from a Recollections paper pad, the Furry Friends ephemera, the Furry Friends sequins mix, and the pink polka dot bows. Those bows made the perfect banner just underneath my title.
I just love the selection of pieces in the ephemera pack. With the dogs, hearts, presents, and cupcakes, this would be adorable for Valentine's Day, dogs, baking, birthdays, and so much more!
I also used one of the cards from the Furry Friends Accessory Pack to fit in my photo grid and become part of the title and cut another one of the cards into a banner shape to use as a journaling spot.
Aren't those dogs cute???? Any ephemera pack that has Corgis in it is A-okay with me!
Thanks for looking and have a cheeky day!
You Can't Make New Old Friends
Hey Friends, it's Laurie Here!
I'm sure you've heard the phrase "Go big or go home!" That's how I felt when I saw Miranda's sketch for the Cheeky Studio April sketch challenge. What a big title! But I knew I wanted to play along.
And while reading a magazine I came across the perfect title for a photo of me and my high school friends that was taken over the Christmas holiday: You Can't Make New Old Friends

For this layout, I used the Easter 2018 collection! Easter, you say? But it doesn't look like Easter on this layout. I know! Isn't that the beauty of Cheeky Studio products? Those gorgeous florals and banner can be used in conjunction with the cute bunnies that come in the ephemera pack or you can use them on their own in a variety of different ways.

I also used the Easter 2018 sequins mix and the Mini Bows in White. There are a few splatters of the Shimmerz Vibez Don't Rain On My Parade, which came in my Cheeky Studio Valentine's Day 2018 Mixed Media Kit.

I kept this layout fairly simple mainly due to the big title (created using some Recollections alpha stickers that were on sale at Michael's) and also due to the busy pattern of the Pink Paislee Wild Child paper.

So that's my layout! I love how it turned out, and I thank Miranda for challenging me to go BIG with my title!
A few things: we'd love for you to participate in the challenge, too, so head over to the Cheeky Studio Facebook group to share your take on the sketch. Or use the hashtags #getcheeky and #cheekystudio when sharing your page on social media. You have until the end of this month. There will be a prize!
Thanks for looking and have a cheeky day!
Bunny Love
Happy Easter, everyone, from Laurie!
My Easter basket of goodies came early as you probably already saw with my Cheeky Studio design team kit for this month. And today I'm sharing with you the first layout using the Easter 2018 collection that came in my kit!
I just loved the color scheme of the collection with the blues and oranges and browns. And I had recently purchased a Recollections paper pad at Michael's with patterned paper that was just the perfect fit.
I was also able to incorporate some orange and white Prima flowers from my stash to make some 3-D embellishment clusters along with the feathers and florals from the Easter 2018 ephemera pack.
Don't you just love that bunny in the hot air balloon? So cute! And I'm in love with the mix of blues in the Easter 2018 sequins mix. They are so shiny and gorgeous!
I also used one of the bunnies with the basket from the ephemera pack. I liked that the basket and the burlap piece from my stash sort of mimicked each other. My ephemera pack actually came with two bunnies with basket: one small and one big. So I still have another one to use for another Easter layout!
I have to say that I am totally in love with how this layout turned out. I was really pleased with how well the Easter 2018 collection fit with elements I already had in my scrap stash, and I still have so many more pieces left over for scrapping more Easter photos!
Have a cheeky day!
Laurie's April Design Team Kit Unboxing
Hello!  It is Laurie again!
Get ready for another month of cheeky! My April Cheeky Chicks design team kit came at the perfect time, seasonally speaking. It included the new Easter 2018 collection, which is going to be great for scrapbooking those bunny breakfast pictures!
I really like this collection because it's got a nice mix of florals, ribbons, banners, and cute bunnies in baskets and hot air balloons. Plus, the color scheme isn't in your typical Easter colors, which is very refreshing. Part of the collection includes a sequins mix, and I also received some big white bows that will be a perfect addition to the Easter ephemera and sequins.
Next up, I got the new Furry Friends collection, which was also perfect timing because my daughter just had a dog-themed birthday party and this collection is all dogs! This consists of three pieces: an accessory pack of small square cards that would be perfect for creating background images or using for project life or Traveler's Notebooks, an ephemera pack that comes with A LOT of super cute pieces, and a sequins mix.
I love, love, love that this collection has little corgi dogs in it. They are adorable, and Tuesdae captured their cuteness so well.
To go along with the collection, I also received a pack of big pink bows.
And then I also got the Get Cheeky acrylic word that is going to be great for using as a title on one of my layouts!
Stay tuned to see what I create with this awesome kit! And don't forget to head over to the store so you can get your hands on these cool scrappin' goodies, too!
Have a cheeky day,

My Cheeky Toddler
Hi everyone, it's Laurie again, and  I'm excited to share with you my latest scrapbook layout because it's all about pandas! Yep, this layout uses the new Panda-monium ephemera pack, and it was perfect for this picture of my daughter with her big stuffed panda.
The ephemera pack includes a nice variety of super cute pandas in different sizes, so I pulled one of each panda to circle around the picture of my daughter. And then I pulled that funny panda showing us his bum to stand off on his own in the upper corner of my page. So funny! I used one of the Panda-monium flair next to that guy.
Back to the circle cluster of pandas. I created a bunch of dimension and texture by adding the pink and blue butterflies from the ephemera pack and popping some of them up with craft foam. I also added the Panda-monium sequin mix and the black and polka dot bows from the Monthly Words kit. Those bows were really perfect for these pandas!
This picture was taken when my daughter was 20 months, so it was getting harder and harder to get her to sit still for a picture. I had the "Cheeky" acrylic word in my design team kit, and I thought it made the perfect title for this layout because it was definitely my daughter's personality in this picture. I have no idea what face she was making, but she is getting cheeky as we are entering the toddler phase.
I also did some Shimmerz spray on my white cardstock with the Shimmerz Vibez Don't Rain On My Parade and Shimmerz Coloringz Pink Stilettos. Both are available in the Cheeky Studio store.
So that's my page! Thanks for looking and have a cheeky day!
My Panda BAB

Hey!  It is Tuesdae again!  I made this layout for Miexed Media Friday to share with you the process that I enjoy tremendously.  Stincile with heaby gesso and lots of shimmery in products.  For this I grabbed some old stash with my Viva Inka Golds, but appaartnetly even they neede da little TLC so one  of them didn't work.  I grabbed a spray from my stash and was able to matc the colors perfectly.

I have been wanting to paly with my deco foil for some times and so I did add a bit a of foil to the letters in the title.  I mean really, who can go wrong with Shimmer and Shine?

I finished off the embellishing with some of the new PAnda-monium ephemera, swquins and flair at the Cheeky Studio Shop and at all came together quite easliy.  I did scraplift myself on this laoyt, so maybe that is cheating but hey it turned out fine and I am more than happy with it so I hope you are too.

I hope it inspires you to make a layout that you scraplife yourself or make a layout based on a special occastion that the embellismnets or colors don't actually go with that Special Occastion. Scrapbooking is meant to fill your heart with art and taht is what I have done here!

I hope you enjoy!

Sketch Inspiration
Happy Hump Day, Cheeky friends!
It's Laurie, and I am so excited to share with you my first layout this month using my March design team kit.
For this layout I used the Pink & Cream Bouquets collection that includes ephemerasequins, and flair. It's all on here!
This is based on the March sketch challenge that Heather created. You can play along all month long in the Cheeky Studio Facebook group! Post your layout in the group's pinned thread and share it on social media using #getcheeky and #cheekystudio for your chance to win!
The paper I chose for my background had pre-printed flowers in the corners, so it kind of fit right in with the sketch. I just added some extra flowers to give the pre-printed ones some dimension, and then I added even more flowers with the flowers and feathers in the Pink & Cream Bouquets ephemera pack. Then I added one of the Pink & Cream Bouquets flair buttons into the dimensional floral bouquet.
I used some of the Pink & Cream Bouquets sequins to add some shimmer and shine in each corner of the page. And I did a little bit of misting spray behind my photo.
I like how this one came out with the different types and layers of flowers, and I like how the Pink & Cream Bouquets went so well with the maroon and cream colors of the papers and other embellishments that I had in my stash. It's a really sweet collection that, as you can see, I've used for a wedding layout, but you could also it use for Easter cards or summer layouts. I get a very summery vibe from the bouquets in the wooden crates. Love those! I'm eager to see what the other design team members do with the collection!
Have a cheeky day!
Laurie's March Design Team Kit Unboxing
Hi guys, it's Laurie again, and today I'm "unboxing" my super awesome March design team kit!
First up, my FAVORITE: the new Panda-monium collection. I love Pandas. My daughter's nursery is panda-themed. Her first birthday party was panda-themed. We take pictures of her every month next to a giant stuffed panda. So receiving the flair, the new sequins mix, and the adorable ephemera pack is really going to come in handy! I love how there is such a nice mix of posed pands in the ephemera. I love the panda showing us his bum!
And who says dreams don't come true? I actually had a dream that I received the new Pink & Cream Bouquets collection in my design team kit, and lo and behold, it's here in my kit! It definitely reminds me of spring and summer. I just love the bouquets of flowers in the baskets and the wreaths. And again, there is such a nice variety of bouquets in the ephemera pack. I'm seeing these as great Easter card embellishments!
I also received the new Monthly Words, which I think will be especially handy for those doing Project Life. I love the font on these because it's a script, but it's not too fancy. These words are going to go so well with just about anything! PLUS, the collection includes bonus sequins and bows. Too cute!
And if that wasn't enough, I also received the wood veneer "Slap Happy" and acrylic "Cheeky" words. Those are going to be perfect for using as titles on layouts.
I'm excited to start creating with my kit, so stay tuned!  Look at all this goodness!!  OMGOSH this goodness!!!  Here is the full kit and I can't wait!
Get Cheeky:
Am I Really 34?

Hi guys!

It's Laurie, and the layout I'm sharing with you today is about my birthday cake! I had this photo of my birthday cake from December, and I knew that I wanted to use the Cheeky Studio die-cut from the Unicorns & Rainbows pack that said "May all your dreams come true". Because how fitting is that for a birthday layout?

I also knew that I wanted to use the Unicorn Mode sequins in some way. So I pulled my photo, the die-cut and the sequins to start me off.

Originally, I wanted to do something with the sequins sort of bursting forth from the picture, but then I saw a layout from scrapbooker Suzanna Lee that I had pinned to my Scrapbook/Cards Pinterest board, and I changed my mind with how my layout was going to look. So instead of sequins bursting forth, I played around with my patterned paper and adhered the sequins in some of the circular patterns on it.
I also already had the title in mind, so I just grabbed some alpha stickers from my stash that fit with the color scheme of the patterned paper I chose - thank goodness I actually had some that matched!
Throw in some ribbon, a few more die-cuts and a heart sticker border from the Unicorns & Rainbows collection, some glittery tissue paper that I received in a gift box at work (love random finds like that), some Crate Paper tags, a spritz of Shimmerz Coloringz Pink Stilettos from the Cheeky Studio Winter Flowers Mixed Media Mini Kit, and that my friends is a recipe for a successful scrapbook layout!
Have a cheeky day!
